At present, the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) has a plan and strategy to develop a “Livable City” through 9 areas of development, 28 important issues, and 226 goals the Governor of Bangkok (Mr. Chatchart Sitthiphan) signed the Bangkok Declaration to use this plan as a directional framework. From the plan, there is a strategy to enhance the economic opportunities in Bangkok through tourism and the Soft Power mechanisms by creating interesting events and festivals for targeted tourists, such as the recent Songkran festival, etc.
